Rave reviews for Caroline and cast of Follies

I was especially impressed with Ms. O'Connor, who is as tart as a lemon dipped in vinegar - Terry Teachout, Wall Street Journal.

The sensational Caroline O'Connor, whose slew of Broadway and European credits hardly prepare you for her breathtaking, impossibly sexy dancing and singing... - Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun-Times.

Real regret earns standing ovations in Gary Griffin's Chicago-style Follies. Four stars - Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune.

Caroline O'Connor delivers a couple of showstoppers as Phyllis - Kris Vire, Time Out Chicago.

Caroline O'Connor, who is delicious throughout as the acid-tongued Phyllis, stopped the show as she strutted her leggy stuff in The Story of Lucy and Jessie - Nancy Malitz, Chicago On The Aisle.

O'Connor is stunning. This Follies is unmissable - From The Ledge.

Caroline O'Connor continually zings with dry wit and perfect pipes - Katy Walsh, Chicago Now.

Here's to the the ladies upstairs! Follies is first rate at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre - Misha Davenport, Broadway World.

Caroline O'Connor tantalises - Scotty Zacher, Chicago Theater Beat.

Only one show on your list? Make it this one - Chicago Critic.

Highly recommended - Around The Town Chicago.

Rave reviews for Caroline in Sweeney Todd

Caroline O'Connor, a late replacement who learned the role of Mrs Lovett on short notice, is sheer delight - George Loomis, The New York Times.

And Australian singer/dancer/actress Caroline O'Connor is sensational as Mrs Lovett- the roar of applause from her opening night curtain call was exceeded only by the standing ovation for octogenarian Sondheim - Judy Fayard, The Wall Street Journal.

Sondheim: Caroline is best Mrs Lovett ever

Photo: Rod Gilfry, Stephen Sondheim, Caroline O'Connor, Lee Blakeley

Legendary Sweeney Todd composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim attended the opening night of Sweeney Todd in Paris and declared Caroline, "the best Mrs Lovett he has ever heard." (Le Monde, Sweeney Todd review).

The Australian singer, dancer, actress replaced the scheduled artist less than a month ago. She didn't know the role and yet she made it hers in an amazing way: since Angela Lansbury's performance, we have not heard such incarnation. Stephen Sondheim made no mistake and he didn't hesitate to let others know that she is "the best Mrs Lovett he has ever heard." This little miracle takes place in Paris so you'd better hurry to grab your tickets. (Le Monde, April 25, 2011)
